I've been looking for a good shift knob for my X for a while now, but until now, didn't see anything that I liked. I was very particular about what I wanted, and TWM was able to get me exactly what I was looking for. I settled on the A6 leopard, but in the new aluminum finish that up until now, wasn't offered. They just finished the first batch, and I opted for the optional 5 speed engraving on it to give it that extra finishing touch. Anyway, I'm really very happy with how it turned out. It's noticeably heavier than stock, which improves shift feel, but it's not overly heavy like the 1 pound steel versions. Color wise, it's very close to the interior trim of the X, thanks to the brighter, matte finish of the aluminum. Another thing that I like is that the style is similar to stock, so it has a "factory like" look, but with a larger diameter ball that feels better in your hand when you're shifting. All in all, it's a really great mod that when combined with a short throw shifter and bushings, really improves the shifting experience. Anyway, it's so new it's not even on the website yet, but if anyone wants one you can just call to order. Pics below, enjoy. Let me know what you guys think.

I just ordered their short shift kit and the M1 steel knob in the gun metal color, but this knob looks nice. I saw the M1 in the aluminum version, but I wanted it to be similar to the old Voodoo knob I had, so I opted for the heavier version. What's the diameter of the knob you have??

The diameter is 2" (51mm), which is the exact same as the M1.

isn't that the A6 Leopard? the drive pattern etching must be a new option. i have that same shift knob in a mirror finish and i must say it's the best knob i've come across yet. nicely weighted and solid feeling. good pick

IIRC, the aluminum knobs are all about 70 bucks, plus 16 for the engraving, and then shipping. Final price for me was about 95 bucks. IMO though, it's worth every penny. Clean, tasteful, affordable compared to a lot of the crazy titanium options out there, and it matches the interior. Plus, with the insert system that TWM uses, if I ever sell my car, I can take my knob with me and just get a new $5 insert to match the threading of the new car! Just hope that it's a 5 speed . Anyway, thanks for all the compliments guys.

Looks good, I like the shift pattern on there. I just don't think I could do a metal knob on my car with the heat in vegas.
