Plugs for Holes in Trunk Lid When Wingless

Anybody know A) a national chain where I can pick up or B) a site where I can order removable plugs for the deck lid holes? I don't want to seal the holes because I want to be able to put the wing back on if I take the car to the track or if I sell it.

The best solution would be a deck-lid style replacement wing that uses the existing holes, but I don't think that exists.

Another option for you guys is what I did. I couldn't find any appropriate plugs at Lowes and wanted a water tight seal with the ability to put my wing back on for track days. I bought a sheet of color matched (not perfect but close) vinyl. I then cut out dime sized circles and covered the holes with it. From 3 feet away the trunk looks painted, keeps the water out, and can be removed easily to put the wing back on. Here is the place I bought the vinyl from:

Here are some pictures:

Hope this helps guys

Lowes carries black plastic plugs that people have used. Sorry, no on the part numbers. If they have them they'll be in their hardware section in the draws. It's just a matter of running in and seeing if they've got what you need.

So the vinyl just squeegees on and peels off? No need for adhesives?

I'll have to go down this weekend and check it out. This wing is really drawing too much attention and it blocks rear vision and is distracting to have in your peripheral vision.

By the way Eurorcr, the black plug can come out too!

If you use some goo gone on the adhesive pad, it will expand and let you pull the plug out. I used pliers, because I couldn't grab it enough with my fingers.

Thanks, I'll take care of that. That black little piece didn't seem like it wanted to come off very easy so I just left it on for now. I will work on that when it warms up a little. Thank for the advice

+1 on that, I used the hairdryer that I was utilizing to soften/loosen the double sided tape on those black plugs as well and then had to use needlenose pliers to yank them out

Little black ruber corks may work
If the color needs to be changed, paint them.
