Show me your MUDFLAPS!

So I haven't owned my car for a week yet and I can already tell Im going to need some serious protection for this paint. Im on the fence regarding mudflaps, mainly due to looks. Show me what you got, make me change my mind.
Few questions...
Anyone had issues with a lowered car and mudflaps scraping on speed bumps?
Anyone know why the PB paint has an extra price? Possible better clear coat?

Here are a few I could find showing the flaps. They do scrape occasionally on higher speed bumps but they never get damaged or damaged the car.

To the OP, Congrats on finally getting your X. I know you have been waiting a while to get it! I hope your lovin it

stikllr13: I can't tell from those angles, but are those pictures with the Cobb springs installed? I'm looking to lower my Evo too, but I've heard the OEM mudflaps will be problematic.

Not the best picture, but here's mine:

PB paint may be extra because of all the gold fleck in it. Or it could just be Mitsu being difficult :/

evazerone the first two pics are with the springs installed and the other two are older and with stock height. I haven't had any problems with the OEM flaps and being lowered. There is an occasional scrape on a speed bump but nothing problematic.

I love the mud flaps. It give it the aggressive look. I recommend that every one should get mud flaps. What make me mad when you diving behind some one and they shoot a rock and cracks your windsheild. Its comman courtesy.

The metal oem mud flaps dont stand up to much abuse especially in the snow salt. The lettering on my mud flaps are starting to rub off. The mud flaps are sandwiched by two metal plate. The metal plate on the inside of the wheel is starting to bend and pull appart. Snow tends to get caught up on the metal part casuing a large build up of snow in the wheel well area. I go over a large speed bump every day so my mud flaps tend to get a beating every day.

I suggest you to get the rally armor or the oem plastic ones (no metal). I would be nice to see rally armor make some rubber ones instead of plastic. Rubber would flex better when you go over speed bumps.

^^ I dont have them for looks really. I rally off-road and the flaps help a lot with rock chips along with painters tape
