Thanks guys, I did order some touch up paint for the few chips on the hood but the lower airdamn will have to slide for now. I guess just avoiding long drives in nasty rains at higher speeds is a good idea.

I made a 2000 mile trip from Jacksonville to Nova Scotia, and had to painters tape the entire front of the car so I didn't get any rock chips.

 

I did the same with painters tape when I drove to Ocean City MD. ha. Works wonders. Taped a quarter of my hood and my whole front bumper.

 

The paint is super cheap. I think i scratched my car brushing against it with a suit coat.

I made the trip from Pittsburgh PA to Miami with 3 of my friends and a dog, 3 years ago. We had a great time we made it in about 17 hours with stops, we were moving. I drove all but about 60miles. We drove a BWM X3 2.3, I was not very comfortable after a few hours. (Thats probably why I was doing 90mph) Overall I loved Miami, especially South Beach.

How was the comfort level driving an EVO that far? I do a lot of road trips and have been considering an EVO for a long time.

 

looks great, I did Tennessee to Connecticut the day i bought my evo. The seats are surprisingly comfortable and make it a smooth ride. That was only about 1,100 mile tho. 2,700 is a trip!

 

mitsu paint really does suck, when I drove from LA to North Carolina then up to D.C. the front of the evo looked like it took a couple of shotgun blast to it, was pissed off for months ever time I washed and waxed her.
