Yes this work under windows.
First i must made to me and test all.
For the wery small carpc (11x11 cm) under windows or linux you have another option

you are the man, what car pc software are you using? or are you building one on your own?(I think you are building your own obviously)

what em is the car running? any possiblility you would use ecu flash/evo scan? then you can actually do real time data logging/tuning !

the possibilities are endless! Since my car had nav in it, I can only imagine being able to google places from my car computer and finding the best routes! plus there will eventually be software so a mapquest type site will have a signature of your car and can route you/follow you as such for safety purposes, etc.

The software is Centrafuse.Centrfuse and Road runner(Free) is two most used software for carpc.
Yes i can use ecu flash,evo scan,Pcmscan.......for real time data logging.
One good thing is webrdio you can listen a milion radio station ))
Because my car is lowered i upgrade parktronics :
