I don't know if there are necessarily too many badges, but the placement of them looks awful IMO.

 

Sorry but that looks like crap. Evo's are nice cars why do people do things like this.

 

If you are aiming for unique you definitely achieved that.

There is still hope though, if you are looking for something to please the masses more, try moving the MR down to the lower right corner and the Diamond star to the top or remove it all together.

Likely I'm going to use a more conservative UK style "Evolution X" lettering just above where the trunk curves inward and the Diamond centered similar to the 3rd picture. You could add the MR in the bottom right corner and that setup would be very similar to the JDM Evo IX MR.

Don't zoom too close because I only did a quicky with MS Paint.

Good luck with whatever you settle on and remember you won't please everyone.
