True, but I recall that the STi has the BEST of all Subaru has to offer, no? So when the RA comes out with RA tails, and we're stuck with the pinkness... what then? I'm not going to swear by the RA tails like some do, simply because they're still OEM. And for a lesser model for that matter. Yeah, they look BETTER than the pink ones, but damn, I've never seen so much bias for an OEM incandescent taillight in my life.. lol These LEDs are a promising move forward to the direction Mitsu should have taken in the first place, especially in competition with other cars in its class who know better than to fit their flagship vehicle with subpar equipment.

Between what cars? I didn't see any of that in this thread.... Either way.... My point was, for a flagship vehicle, Mitsu should have included LEDs from the get-go, and kept up with the other cars in its class.

eh it's not a big deal; it's not like halogens are going to say bye-bye anytime soon. besides, it's not as easy to do a LED cluster justice. while you can shape it to whatever you like, making it look good and fitting is another level of difficulty within itself. not to mention, if one LED dies, you won't be able to replace it without soldering out just that one LED, which most people won't bother with.

those aftermarket housings are bothersome, in that most of them leaks and fogs because they're usually not sealed properly. OEM you're guaranteed it won't fog up with its superior non-taiwan/china quality. so there's another piece of advantage.

i just installed them a few days ago on my GG X and they look awesome. both day and night, whether the lights are on or off. def would recommend them

 

Can you show some pics on how they look? And what color you have for the tails, smoke or black?

Just that GG is a dark color (I love GG) and wondered how they look.

 

dam they look sick on a black X. I think they just need to be blacked out a bit more
