Neighboor backed into driver's door...

Last weekend my neighboord backed into my Evo while comming out of her driveway.

The bodyshop said they have to paint part of the FL fender and RL door to blend the color and also replace the whole front left door. I'm pretty pissed and would hate to alterate the original paint on the FL fender and RL door. I was thinking of buying a used door same color as mine (GG) from a salvaged Lancer/Evo (correct me if it's not the same).

Any ideas?

Dam that sucks.

Blending the fender is normal, if they can't colormatch. I would think a replacement part that is painted from the factory should match up nicely.

if they are repairing the existing door and repainting, i dont see why they would have to blend into the adjacent panels. They will only have to color mainly the center of the door where the bodywork will be needed. GG blend well, so a good paintshop should be able to do the door only. I would get a few other estimates from other places !

ouch. hopefully you can get a used door with the same color. OR...its an oppurtunity to swap to a carbon fiber door?. Good luck with the fix!

you need a good paint shop and have them give it a try--other car doors will all have faded differently depending on sun exposure, so there will always be subtle differences. BTW dont park across from your neighbors drive way any more.
