Not a fan. It looks a bit low rent.

I realize that they aren't perfect, nor will it be everyone's favorite.

Would you mind commenting on why? What makes them appear low rent to you?

To me, it looks way better than stock. Big props man! Exactly what paint did you use to paint them?

Looks good. You didn't have to spray the entire housing to get rid of the ugly dremmeled part ,I just outlined mine with paint to cover that over. BTW I like what you did with the orange reflector, but tinting it kind've takes away the whole blacked-out housing effect. Looks better than stock regardless.

I used Dupli-Color Acrylic Enamel, black for the trim, clear for clear coat. For the tint, I used VHT Nightshades.

Those look good too! I didn't tint it to get rid of the dremelling area. That's what the black trim was for (much like yours). I tinted it to get rid of the freakin' pink lenses. It still looks significantly different than just a stock light tinted, you can see a major difference with the black housing. It also looks good with the chrome trim left chrome, but I didn't want to look the same as the RA tails. Regardless, I'm happy with how mine came out, though I'm sure other people would be happier with a solution much like yours.

Oh **** I didn't even take in that you blacked-out the chrome too, I wish I did that as well. Might be time to crack em open again! Would you mind if I copied your reflector idea? I'll make sure to give you props in any pics I post.

Go right ahead

I'm glad I added the stripes, it's a bit more interesting.

I think it's just a daylight shot. Mine were indoors, so they looks pinker than usual.

They still have it, but it looks clearer than the stockers because of the black background.

Heh. The crappy lighting and dirty car might make it look green, but it certainly isn't. I'll have some day shots soon.
