waterblade for the majority of the water, then a shammy to get the water the blade missed. No swirls for me.

i put the nozzle on the hose to "mist"... spray it down.. then use an absorber.

sometimes i throw the leaf blower into the mix.. usually only in the fall/winter to cut down on time outside in the cold.. lol

Leaf Blower FTW!

Gets the water out of the wheels, gas hatch, vents, seams, side mirrors, etc.

By the time I'm done, my white 100% cotton bath towel (per Zanio's advice) is only damp...

California waterblade. Works real nice, plus it's responsible since we're always in a drought. You know, as opposed to sheeting.

That is horrible for your paint. Do not recommend this to anyone. Windows, fine; paint, horrible.

Leaf blower is the best method followed by a nice waffle weave microfiber. I then touch up any spots I missed later with quick detail spray and microfiber.

I use the sheeting method with double filtered water, and then a shop vac (to get trim parts and in between panels/wing) and then a leaf blower. I refuse to dry with any kind of towel or chamios.

I use a Master Blaster. Little bit better then a leaf blower. Its got 8hp peak, plus the air is heated and filtered. Awesome to say the least, takes 4-6mins to dry.

NOTE: If your car is not waxed, this will method will be a pain, but if it is waxed then you will wonder how you dried a car before

I use the nozzle off sheeting method and a microfiber to dry...

Go to Kragen/Pep Boys/whatever and get yourself an absorber.

Blot dry and don't drag across the surface.

Have you every used it? If you have and have got swirls then you don't know how to wash your car.

He's right though, you can even get small bits embedded into the water blade's rubber/plastic and drag it across like that. Unless you clay bar your car AND the water blade on a regular basis (which would be considered too often by detailing professionals anyways) there's no way you can stop the water blade from dragging impurities across your previously swirl-free paint.

LOL just the bad noise the CA Water Blade made me not use it after a minute of trying. I'm happy with Chamois.
