I'm not sure, but I think it can handle it, but of course there are few gearbox failures and I'd by afraid for a gearbox damage.

I think the damaged was just failures with electronic... not mechanic !

Getrag buit in my opinion one of the strongest 6-Speed manuel transmissions in the world... The Toyota Supra Twin Turbo transmission and with this kind of experience I hope the SST is mechanically not worse.

But in case of a damaged I hope Mitsubishi doesn't see the FP

From what I read, it should be fine as long as the torque is kept low. I suppose the TCU will kick in if it doesn`t like it

SSP is working on a lot of things with the SST right now. They have a cooler, bigger pan, and upgraded clutch packs. They also said they have figured out a way to adjust torque tables on the SST, and from what they said, people should be hitting 500whp easy early next year once everything is sorted.

Check the SST forums for more info.
