Hi there, X RS owner from the UK.
Hi there,
I have been a member on here for a few years, but rarely get the chance to view/post as free time is limited, now i have a X i have been trawling round for info/advice etc, and have decided the American market (due to the quantity sold and the sheer number of tuning shops in the usa) seem to have moved things on/ pushed things much further than the usual suspects in the UK.
Hence i guess me spending some time on this forum now : 0)
Anyway, a brief intro and to say hi, my name is Nick, been into Evos for a good number of years, after a brief play with Honda Civic Type R's and a Scooby.
Started with a lightly modified Evo VII in silver, then another in black , then i got a VI RS , then an VIII , then a short period of being sensible/grown up :-) i got an M3 CSL Bmw, then a V RS , and now i have a X RS.
A few pics and brief descriptions of the work done on the cars for you to peruse.
Enjoy, Cheers, Nick
( no pics of the VII's. as one got totalled and the other stolen before i really got round to any pics )
I am no photographer so apologies if the pics appear ****e compared to some of the ones i have seen on this forum, i just point and snap
VI RS , Ap Brakes, IX turbo bb core 071 mag wheel, CTG carbon propshaft , Tein suspension, Blitz exhaust, etc etc approx 440HP (flywheel)

Evo VIII FQ300 (well it started life as a 300) carbon propshaft ,exe-tc RMo4 suspension,Greddy ti exhaust, Full AMS 2.3 stroker, GT35 turbo kit, twin 044 pumps AP brakes, Motec ecu, etc etc, approx 680 HP on pump fuel and 740 on VP import (flywheel)

Then i went all Germanic...M3 CSL , standard bar a few extra bits of carbon, AP brakes front and rear..(a beautiful car,
amazing sound, should have kept it
)

Evo V RS , bit of a weapon this one, 11 years old, came over from Japan with only 7500 miles on it, then it got pulled to bits
, new evo IX engine,2 litre, forged internals, Hydra ECU. AMS GT30 turbo kit,BC RM coilovers, Ap brakes, bolt in cage, recaro seats, fuel system in boot again, 044 fed from swirl pot, approx 500 on pump fuel, 540 on VP import (flywheel)

Finally my new one, Evo X RS, standard engine bar the intake and top I/C pipe, both made from 3"alloy by me and a good friend, powdered crackle black for a "Factory" stealthy finish, New Rota Grids, 18 x 9.5 et 30 , 265/35/18 Toyo 888 tyres, M tech carbon mirrors, painted to look plastic, (factory look again
) full 3" Japspeed exhaust , JDM recaro seats, (ordered from japan at a cost of £1800 the pair, recaro made, X specific sidemounts/runners,gorgeous seats
, exe-tc suspension again, cusco twin plate clutch, more to do on this one, intercooler etc , then an ecutek remap, hoping for low to mid 400's.
Pictures on this one not brilliant, had a lot of snow recently and the car hasnt moved off the drive for 3 weeks, as i dont want it on salted roads as its not undersealed at all , being an RS.
So snuck out today whilst it was vaguely ok weather wise

Think thats it for now, Cheeeers

A few updated pics, 19/02/10.....

All that money dropped into those cars, and you get Rota's??? Haha, just giving you S#!T. You are a lucky man, having all those Evo's under your belt. I was in the UK for 3 years, '05-'08, and there wasn't one day I wasn't jealous of all the Japanese imports rollin around. Great looking X RS, especially the low-key exterior paint, like the mirrors and the door handles.
On a side note.. How were you able to retain the same number plate for a few of your Evo's??

I have a X but... every time I see a VI I think that THIS was THE Evo
in UK and other european countries, the plate is PERSONAL so you can move it from a car to another one.

Sorry, don't know how to multi quote, thanks very much for the comments
It's a work in progress and i don't want to turn it into a huge moneypit like the others
so I won't be going down the forged engine bigger turbo route with this one, just want to keep it reliable and fun.
Partly why I went down the Rota wheel route, plus i won't spend £2000 + on a set of wheels, the rota ticks all the right boxes finish and looks wise, and they only cost £800 , granted they are not the lightest by any means but these only weigh a kilo more per wheel/tyre than the originals with 245 rubber on them, so not stupidly heavy by any means.
As mentioned correctly , the reg plate is something you have to buy over here and remains yours unless you sell it, or the car with it on, hence it has been transferred to all my cars over the years except the V Rs as this was to old for the plate to be used on it, which is why it's plate is E5 RSO , which was cheap and relevant to the car
The sears are great, though if you are a lard *** you would be sat on them not in them, snug is the best way to describe them
Cheers.
