I wouldn't buy seibon again, my wing is turning green and the weave looks like it was laid by a blind monkey

i have it...

hope this helps.

and for those saying it's yellowing, carbon fiber parts need a lot of care. i have to clean and wax them once every two weeks just to keep the shine going.

weave is a hit or miss, but i usually don't have problems, and i'm pretty strict on my requirements.

if you want to buy it, get it from the forum sponsor cvr. cheapest price i know of.

Here's mine. Don't be fooled, this things are not plug-n-play you'll need to make it look good.

And an old image of when I first put it on:

Well, if you want perfect fitment then no. If you don't mind the yellowing of the carbon parts, even though my car is never on the sun and hardly leaves the garage but my brother's hood and wing are now yellow, then yes.

I have the Seibon rear diffuser. I had the same concerns before purchasing it because of some comments here. At the same time I bought the Seibon piece (from CVR) I also bought other CF pieces from Rexpeed and Do-luck. Of the three, I found the Rexpeed pieces to have the worst fitment and curiously heavy weight. The Do-luck pieces were the best and the Seibon was somewhere in the middle. Maybe I got lucky, but I really didn't have any issue with the Seibon piece.

so...do you go prowl ****** at night or what

you don't need sunlight for oxidation to occur, although UV rays are a catalyst for such effect, as well as heat. i'm not defending the product, as i know first hand their stuff is a hit or miss at times, but end users need to understand how to care for them too. it's just not your run-of-the-mill paint job (it's not even paint). even in shade you need to wash and seal it with wax regularly to prevent oxidation.

i recommend seibon stuff, as long as you know what's involved. meaning it may involve playing around with fitment, and of course regular care.

One note: you can see there is a gap above the license plate on saulbyu's rear shot. I'm not sure why they designed it that way. I had my guys fabricate something to fill the gap.

Seibon is complete junk. I'm pretty much done with carbon fiber body panels other than lips. Had a Seibon trunk that fit like total crap, hood that yellowed even though i waxed it 2-3 times a month or more. terrible stuff. weave is crap too. for people who say all carbon yellows and turns to crap unless you baby it, i say bullshizzle. my stock IX wing sees wax way less than the hood and trunk did and it's still perfect. the ralliart lips I had were also perfect as far as weave and color fastness go. i just hope the JDP lip i have now holds up.
