My New EVO 10
Whole lotta car and a Whole lotta responsibility at 15 almost 16. Take care of yourself and the car. Cause if you dont you will be another statistic and a proud owner of a 2008 mitsubishi POS. This car has more moving and electronical parts than most which means more maintainence. Your young and I assume a far amount of free time. Do your research on here and you will be fine. Just remeber you wreck this one Mommy and Daddy prob wont buy you another if they do shame on them, and you will forever be rollin in the astro mini van lol.
Be sure to post it in the wreck thread. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ne...er-merged.html
I don't question the kid on this, but who are the parents to buy a "kid" this car to drive?
Its not the kids fault on this one, its the parents
Did they drive this car before they bought it for you?!
If so, thats even worse
Worse parenting move yet
When i sell my car - I made a promise to myself not to sell it to a kid
talk about not teaching kids responsibility, especially in these times.
I already told my daughter that when she can start to work, she will be working and that I will match whatever she saves for a car. however gas and insurance will be up to her. Not because I don't have the money, because I want her to learn responsibility's.
handing a kid or anyone a $30k car who doesn't have to pay for anything doesn't teach them anything.....
good luck jr.
be safe for your parents sake - don't end up making them regret their decision

Congrats on the car dude looks sweet! However your one lucky sod to have parents who bought you this at 16... don't make them feel sorry for it! Drive carefully as this car can equally end up being a death machine as much as a fun one! Safe!!!
It's not about being a responsible driver, at that age you simply do not have the means to even afford the maintenance on a car like that. The expectation will be set too high for future vehicles - you'd never meet it unless you make a ton of money out of school. Let alone have enough experience behind the wheel to not crash it.
What's next? College, it'll be a Porsche? Lamborghini?
That is just bad parenting.

Take it easy, the turbo takes getting used to especially if you haven't driven a turbo'ed car before. IMO not a car to learn how to drive in, but more power to ya. Just be careful, especially in the winter AWD doesn't help on ice.
