I've got a special idea for my OE wheels that will cost 60-80.00 per wheel which isn't a bad price. However...
I don't have money to spend on a high dollar wheel, but like other products, there's always a less expensive product that really is just as good as long as it's taken good care of. What are some respected wheel companies who's pricing isn't to expensive? I really like chome or the polished aluminum look, sort of like the MR wheels.
Idea's on wheel brands?
Idea's on good powdercoat companies that aren't overpriced and do good work?

Personally I would never change the OEM wheels, it just looks cheap in my opinion. I would look into Enkei's RPF1 given that they are easy to get and are not very expensive. The weight of the wheels is a bonus as well.

I painted mine twice, and it will look great for a while. But with the kinda brake dust we get you'll be doing some serious cleaning/touch up painting every couple of months. If your gonna paint them then put alot of work into each wheel. Only reason im getting new rims is because my rims got chipped while avoiding being hit. If you want to do something and have some pride in it but fix it alot then pain. If you want to upgrade and look better save the money and buy rims when you can afford it, plus this will give you time to look at all the options.

But if you are saying 1k for rotas are way out of your price range then dont even bother looking at the Enkeis because those will be out of your price range as well. Other than some super ghetto wal-mart snap ons you really arent gonna find anything deecnt for less than a few hundred bucks per wheel. So powdercoating your wheels seems more logical in your budget. I would recommend you do a google search for powdercoaters in your area. Remember you get what you pay for though. So dont expect to find that the cheapest one out there is going to do the best job.
Now that I know what your budget is, don't bother even painting or powdercoating. Wait for it and do it right, buy a decent set of wheels when you can afford it. Don't cheap out on a car like the Evo X.
Save 20$ every wheek and I'm sure by next summer you'll afford a set of Enkei's which in my opinion is the best bang for the buck out there. Granted, Rotas look decent but in my opinion they are knock-offs of other wheels manufacturers, and the weight is hurtful.
Hope this helps

I like the EKM3's a lot http://www.enkei.com/ekm3.html They have them in a polished with clearcoat color as well, which I would likely get. They look a lot like the MR wheels, but they really stand out to me. Chrome finish would be even better. By the way, are the OE wheels 8.5 inch wide?
