It's definitely more of a day time lens haha. It's pretty heavy for the tripod.

Congratz man! It's pretty amazing what a high quality lens will do! I just got all my new gear a little while ago as well. Pretty excited. Got my Nikon D3s body, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, Nikon SB-900, Manfrotto Carbon Fiber Tripod, and Manfrotto Pistol Grip Tripod Head. I haven't had a chance to do an "official" shoot with all the new stuff yet because I pretty much just got it. The next lens purchase is the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8. Awesome lenses! Congratz again man!

Any ideas about the dimensions compared to the Panasonic gf-1 the model in the akihabara-video seems to be real, the body is redeliver thick. There is no hot-shoe.

I have the same lens. Great reliable, durable piece of equipment...don't be an idiot an leave the bottom end lens cap off though...dust will mess up your $h!t.

I spent the coilover money on the lens haha.

I'm looking to do a photoshoot in the King of Prussia mall parking garage complex this week or next. I'm trying to rally some really nice cars. So I'll probably start a new thread with those pics
