So I Removed My "Lancer" Emblem...

I removed my "Lancer" emblem off the trunk lid of my Evo X yesterday, alone with the ugly dealership emblem where I bought the car. Real easy to do when using a hair drier and some dental floss. I'd like to remove the "Mitsubishi" emblem off from the other side of the trunk lid as well since the 3 diamond emblem is there already. Is it only stuck on like the "Lancer" emblem, or would I be dealing with holes.

Has anyone else done this as well? Am I the only one who feels that they don't want anything on their Evo that says "Lancer" on it? If I had my way, I'd remove all references to "Lancer" from the car entirely (i.e. E-Brake handle, floor mats, mud flaps, ect.)

I see what you're driving at but it is, and always has been, a Lancer Evolution. It's basically a $20,000 car (Lancer) with $15k in performance parts (Evolution).

Although I'll also be taking off the "Mitsu" and "Lancer" badges.

I have JUST a lancer and I took those completely off. However, for the reason that I like a clean looking back. I have to agree with Mac on this one, it IS a Lancer and there is not much you can do about that. Every "affordable" performance car has a base model it's designed off of. (Of course there is the exceptions like the Veryon for one.) You have a fast car, you don't have to completely shun its smaller weaker brother

Everything on the trunk is stuck on...no holes. My rear is completely debadged except for the "evolution" badge. Looks clean.

I love the clean look on the back with no emblems of any sort.

And I feel that the car isn't just a lancer with mods. It looks like a reg lancer besides the obvious parts. But it is its OWN beast/car in its own.

I removed the "Lancer" emblem as well. It looks much cleaner that way. I'm not sure if I want to remove the "Mitsubishi" but we'll see how it goes.

That's how I want my Evo to look...just the "evolution" emblem on the back.

That and a red three diamond emblem in the front instead of the chrome one.

Don't hate cause my car looks as good as yours, but doesn't go as fast

Seriously though, I have thought about removing both... might just have to take care of that. I like the dental floss idea.

No hate intended my friend, it's just that I regard my car as an "Evo".

When using a hair drier & dental floss, the emblems and the "goo" leftover comes off real easy...no chemicals needed.

Sweet!

Everytime I see the rear of an Evo, it makes me loathe the stock tail lights that much more. RalliArt tail lights look SO much nicer...gotta get me a set of them too!

I did this too. It looks clean. I hate how cheap the Mitusbishi and the Lancer tags looked.
