hey everyone, i recently bought a JDP rallyart CF front lip. I was wondering if this was normal on this particular lip. I know some of you folks got the sames ones from JDP. Do you guys have that same line on the front of the lip? Looks like two cf peices were joined together and caused that line on the front. I drew a red line on the first pic to point out what im talking about. Thank you.

 

I'm not an expert here but that looks terrible, I would for sure give them a call and say something. That's clearly 2 separate pieces joined together, the weave even starts going in opposite directions after the split. Worst part of it is, ITS RIGHT IN THE FRONT!!!!

I called john or whatver at JDP and he claims its normal. He says that the original rallyart lip is exactly like that but im looking at pics online and other on the forum with the jdp lip, and that nasty looking line isnt even on there. I just dont want to be stuck with a lip this hideous. I paid $380 for this and this is not the quality this should be in. Even my girl says "why is it like that?!"

 

normal? that's the biggest bucket of crap i've seen anyone trying to feed to someone else. demand an exchange or a refund, and accept nothing else. if i received something like that i would be totally pissed. i've wrapped carbon parts before in a variety of flavors, and i would NEVER piece two pieces together like that, let alone a big name like ralliart.

 

Send that crap back.

i looks like they made the lip in 2 pieces and JB Welded it together

 

That looks terrible man. I hope he takes care of you and gets this fixed.

definitely not normal i have seen a JDP lip in person and it was clean and fit nice
