My seats from LeatherSeats.com arrived today!!!
hahah agreat movie reference!!! He is in fact damn awesome ;-) I've had a lot of dogs in my life and this kid beats them all. I can leave a steak on the couch, go upstairs and if he doesn't just follow me up he's still laying on the couch exactly where I left him, steak untouched.
If you think the his eyes are bad here, I have a pic of him from Xmas that I've dubbed the Eye Of Sauron. The green-eye from one eye was so bright it caused lens flare.

I have to say that those headrests looks really good for a DIY'er.
my question is, so you will need to remove all the cloth front and rear to do this and cant do what you did like on the headrests?

Yes for the actual seats I will have to remove the OEM cloth. That is the only way to attach the leather to the frame anywhere other than at the edges of the material. From looking at the seats and the leather I don't think it will be too hard. I'm sure I'll get a few cuts and sore fingers but I am fairly confident. I also picked up their "install kit" which includes the Hog rings and Hog Ring pliers needed for the job along with the spray-on glue for the door inserts. Those inserts are what concern me the most.

You're not breaking anything to me. I live where I live and those are the prices. There is no one around here that will do custom 100% leather installed for that price. I could have bought 100% leather but really didn't see the point regardless of the cost since nothing that touches my body touches vinyl. But thanks for your encouragement
I would tend to agree in some respects but consider what you get charged for OEM leather. I have leather in my Acura MDX, not exactly a ghetto car, and I can tell you without a doubt this stuff is WAY nicer. I mean there is NO comparison.
If you want to talk about it being a lot of money for leather just in and of itself, I can't say I would argue, but that is what it costs.
Also consider that I upgraded the leather quality and leather coverage ($300), upgraded to perforated ($50), upgraded with double stitching ($20), upgraded with custom embroidery ($110). The install kit and shipping were $65. The lower end leather is still better than most OEM. I don't really consider perforations an option so with that you can do their Deluxe with Standard leather for $699.99+$50+$65 = $815. That isn't too bad for the whole thing to your door.
I almost went that exact route. Then I figured I'd keep this car for a while and I would have spent that much on OEM leather had it been an option in the SE (stupid that it is not). I saved some more money, delayed my purchase, and now I am VERY happy and I haven't even finished the install yet

I've been trying to get a quote on their site but it seems to not have the same options you spoke of. Did you have to call for the upgraded leather etc... ? Shoot me a pm if there are a lot of details.
Thanks
Thanks
Yes the upgraded leather and the premium kit both require email or phone call. They do mention that about the premium kit but the upgraded leather isn't on their site. They told me about it in an email when I asked about the cost of the premium and 100% leather options. Once you google ecstasy leather you do find it mentioned in posts they've made to other forums like the Subbies etc.
I finished the front passenger seat and I gotta say ... damn. It is sweet. It isn't installed back in the car yet (damn 36f weather this morning) but I sat in the seat and watched some TV last night and boy is it smooth. There are one or two wrinkles I can't seem to smooth out but I'm confident it will work out with time and even if they don't I am 100% satisfied.
