Varis double sided carbon hood
Just picked up a brand new Varis double sided carbon hood. **** is sweeeeeet, EVERY part of the hood is hq carbon top/bottom. This is def one of the nicest hoods I've ever seen on any car. Varis really does make a quality product, I cant wait to make my next Varis purchase(maybe a rear carbon diffuser??lol). Sorry for the ****ty pics, you cant really see the carbon weave on the under side because its too cloudy. I gotta get a better camera and do a shoot or hire someone to do a shoot.
The only pain in the *** was trying to file the winshield squiter holes out to make them fit. I was nervous as hell filing an expensive *** hood. There was ALOT of filing but I got them to fit perfect.
Hood Fitment is 10/10. Hood Weave is 8/10.
Here are some pics from farther away. Car is dirty as hell, havent washed it in like a month.

Yes the air still circulates because the way its designed. It circulates the air while channeling the water to the front of the hood where there are some holes to release the water.

Nice pick up! I have the same hood for some time now. In the summer, with the covers off, all I see is hot air spewing out from the engine bay. Really good mod to cool the engine temp especially with the vents in the back.
Did you get a chance to put on the 3 strips of rubber moldings in the front of the hood yet? Without them, air will catch under the hood and might cause stress on the fiberglass near the hinge.

I normally don't like unpainted hoods but the fact that it matches your side grills and lip is actually pulling it off. Plus it's not as drastic as exposed CF on white cars.

Does any one know the weight of this hood compared to stock. Does varis produce a dry carbon version? I havnt looked too hard but was searching a little last week. From what I see seibon is the only company so far. Correct me if im wrong. Fitment does look nice.

That is the Varis (VSDC) version, which stands for Varis Semi Dry Carbon. It's the best of the best. Also, just because Seibon makes a piece of **** matte CF product doesn't mean it's Dry Carbon. It's constructed differently but Seibon likes tricking people into doing a matte finished wet carbon and calling it "dry".
