My new (to me) RR EVO X
My new (to me) RR EVO X
I bought an '08 RR EVO X GSR last exactly one week ago and I'm loving it. I was originally looking for an E46 M3 but after test driving an evo I was sold. Since 16 (25 now) I've never owned anything but mitsu and I'm glad I stayed with the brand, the handling is amazing on this car!
First a couple of my past cars:
My '97 GSX (the silver one on the left). This is the reason why there is a "gsx" in my screen name. I loved this car, it was fast clean and turned heads. This is the one I think I will always regret selling. Before this I had a '95 TSi AWD Talon that was rear ended. I bought the eclipse with a blown motor so I swapped the one from my wrecked talon into the eclipse, that taught me a LOT about working on cars.

Then I bought a '91 3000GT VR-4. While I liked this car, I don't think I really ever loved it quite the same as my previous cars. It had all the upgrades needed to make 400-450hp it just needed a tune. I think I finally realized that despite trying to make it faster and better with more mods, I was just never really going to love this car. It felt heavy even with coilovers and weight reduction (it weighed in at 3380lbs, no gas, no driver). So the next car I wanted was one that handled better.

Enter the '08 EVO X (and friends' WRX's):
Picked up exactly one week ago. 20k miles on it, SSS and aero packages with rota grids and works shift knob. The other mods it came with are an AMS master cylinder ring and TTP spec ACT clutch. I have to say I am loving this thing! It's not as powerful as my previous cars, but it definitely handles waaaay better. I installed my first mod yesterday...a new rear view mirror with auto dimming and homelink built in (I really hate having things on my visor and/or reaching into the center console for the garage remote). So me and a couple friends went out for a quick photo shoot (they have wrx's which seem to dominate my area). Can't wait to get a shoot done with my 2 buddy's that have EVO VII's.

Very nice! I went for a 400 AWHP 96 Talon TSi AWD to an Evo X. Its the natural progression, I think. I think I will always miss my talon as well, I put soo much blood sweat and tears into that car
