Here is my A6 Leopard from TWM. My throws are so much smoother. I can't see myself using an OEM knob ever again.

I personally think it's worth the money. After using a TWM weighted knob, I can't go lighter or back to an OEM one.

Is it possible to lower the boot ring on the OEM shift boot at all?

Just ordered a height adjustable Moddiction Ti knob, that's supposed to allow for a drop of ~1" compared to the stock knob. Can I just push the plastic & rubber boot ring down a little on the shifter?

I run the ARC with a kidneythief (she doesnt make them anymore I think) shiftboot... I also have an AMS knob for those days that the sun tries to burn my hand from the ARC (all mounted to a TWM shifter... love it)

And to answer the ARC question... nope no longer available unless you find one NOS

Ya, I've seen a few used ARC knobs floating around, but that's it.

For new Ti knobs, try Moddiction, WC Lathe Werks, Fortune Auto, or aSpec.

Nobody know if the shift boot ring can be lowered on stock shifter??

Yes, the ring is two pieces - a rubber & plastic part. Remove the rubber piece & you can use the plastic ring. I did it to my shift boot ring when I installed a shorter boot. I cant stand the look of baggy shift boots!!!

Thanks Ketchup! So to pull off the inner rubber ring, just go through the same procedure of removing the middle console like I was doing a shift boot swap.. I can't just force it down an inch?

Btw, nice shift boot.. Redline?

installed the A6 Leopard with the Pearl Black finish yesterday. Only complaint is that it got pretty cold last night. I bought a sweatband to cover it with until it warms up.

ARC is back in limited capacity -- we've ordered from them earlier this month actually and received items via EMS.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested, we can still get em for you with a pretty short turnaround.
