shift knobs
so the stock evo x shift knob and boot in my opinion is horrendous, i cant believe they couldnt put ina lill more effort into the interior.
but anyway anyone have any suggestions for a good shift knob or boot?

I never have been, and never will be, comfortable with dropping more than $30 on a shift knob haha. Just not my style, no matter how expensive or cheap a car is.
That being said, heres my $20 pep boys shift knob since i hated the stock leather knob. In order to get it to sit low enough and not have a gap from the shift boot to the shift knob, you have to use 2 of the bushings that it comes with. One the size of the threaded tip of the shifter, which will sit all the way at the top of the knob on the inside, and a second large enough to drill out and fit aroudn the shifter base at the base of the knob which is where you'll actually put the set screws in. Trick i learned with my first 03 Lancer OZ

Check out the PWJDM Delrin shift knob. I love the feel of it and it took away some of the notchy feel of shifting. And because its delrin the sun doesn't burn it up like those expensive titanium knobs.
