Not to beat a dead horse, but I just go my EVO and want to add mudflaps because it is going to be a dd in the new england winter. I like the way the mitsubishi mudflaps are molded to the wheel arches, but I don't like the stainless steel on the bottom of the mudflaps. I don't like how the Ralliart mudflaps are just flat, but I like how wide they are. So I would like to know from someone that has the factory ones whether or not I could remove the stainless steel from the mudflap and what would it look like IF I can't remove the stainless steel, then the Ralliart mudflaps are for me. I read where someone said they could find the Ralliart for less than half price the OEM. The OEM are $209 and the Ralliart are $134. So if someone knows where to get the Ralliart for less than $134 please point me at the web site.

I got my Rally Armor from MAP Performance. They're listed in the EVO X vendor classified (Exterior styling). I think you pretty much need to fork up $134 or wait for someone to sell their used ones if you want to go the cheaper route.

i have the oem mudflaps, and im pretty sure there are tiny screws to remove the steel plates.

Ive gotten compliments on my mudflaps because of the fact that its a rally car.

I got it because i dont like dirt and rocks kicking up... needless to say my side skirts are still insanely chipped up...

honestly i cant wait to lower my car and take out the mudflaps

My ralliart flaps were over $500. I'm not sure you'd be getting real ralliart products for that cheep but who really cares if they are knock offs.

I installed the OEM mudflaps about a week ago. I was going to get the Rally Armors but these were the same price and I liked them.

You can drill out the rivets leaving 4 small holes. There is a double sided sticker holding the plate to the flap you will have to peel.

One thing to keep in mind: the SCCA doesn't allow any metal on the mud-flaps if you autocross.

I bought my OEM mud flaps off of ebay. They had the Rally Armors are there too. I saw a thread about a year ago from a guy who bought a cheap $20 pair and mounted them on his Evo. They looked really good on it

I personally hate my RA mudflaps, but I also don't want the paint to get messed up since they didn't put the wider side skirts on the 08 gsr's
