As a former installer I can say that 'yes' you should wrap but its not feasible with every install. The most important areas you need wrapped would be the edges of the hood and where the fenders meet the hood. Anywhere else isn't really needed.

Sorry for not replying earlier.

Yeah, maybe I should have asked for him to wrap it around the hood. I'm seeing dust collecting on the side edges of the hood. Nothing gets inside, I can just wipe it with microfiber cloth.

I paid $1650 (Told you it wasn't cheap) to cover the entire front (minus the mirror because the film won't stick to chrome). He came over to my house and install it. The install took about 6 hours and he advised 12 hours for the adhesive to completely cure.
