This car will have issues passing a smog check, especially in CA. Non carb legal intake and a high flow cat.

They should have used an AEM intake because it's carb legal. Hopefully they give the customer the stock cat so they can put it on for a few days when they need a smog check.

it's a very nice car...but it's more for guys with the money & no time to mod, or guys who want fast already modded out of the box.

it takes the fun & passion out of modding your own, but that's a preference though. if i had the money, i prolly would buy that after getting me g gt-r & a z06.

Has anyone been following the thread on the EVO X forum about this "project"? For over a week they've been beating Ryan soft with no reply from him and now they're all holding hands and singing Kumbaya. ;-)

Haha I know isn't it sad?

Yes, it's baffled to eliminate the need to run 1/2 tank+ of fuel on track. On sustained right turns below 1/2 tank, the Evo X will be starved for fuel.

Another photo, this time showing the stripe in full form. I was unsure about it at first, mainly because it was a huge undertaking, but love it now. Nice and clean.

nicely done, however, i dont see this car staying untouched for long after someone buys it, it will most likely end up like any other evo. besides who wants to own a car that was completely done and modded by someone else to fit the general public taste? certainly not me. anyone came across the price?

^ Really looks good Ryan. I support your efforts, both as an Evo X owner and as a fellow Minnesotan. Just wish I had the coin to buy one myself. At least I have an Octane Blue Evo X GSR, which at least shares the same color as your track Evo. I also bought one of my two Evo X's at Luther Brookdale Mitsubishi like you.

Just out of curiosity, how are you handling the EPA smog regulations as well as NHTSA safety regulations regarding the seats? Is there an exemption for a small run of cars such as the 11 you plan on selling? I know the Feds take a dim view on reselling cars with modifications that have not been tested by both the EPA and NHTSA.

If you choose to mod it, that's your choice. The point of this car is to offer an Evo X that out of the box that is fully dialed, backed up by legitimate real world development. Every part on the car derives, in one way or another, directly from the development of my Evo X.

It's more than just the sum of it's parts.

no definitely and i agree that it should be more than just the sum of its parts, and im sure it will sell as it is tastefully modded and in my own opinion it looks very nice with the color scheme, i just think that people will still mod the sh.t out of it and change the looks of it, it does look nice tho and nice idea.. good luck.

Ryan, can you please comment on the two points above.
