I read the first couple post and thought this was going to be a horrible idea. After looking at those photoshop pics, it actually looks good. They have that Evo in the first post looking rwd, wow.maad

If you just welded the rear doors the rear end does look quite long as shown in the first pic.
The second pic I moved the door b pillar and handle back and removed the smaller window in the rear door. Gives a way better look. I'd say this is achievable but at what cost?

That looks awesome!

I think it would be cool to see a evo x sportback.

regardless if you weld the rear doors, add the front fenders, bumper and hood from the X and weld
bolt on the evo x rear doors and weld on/fit evo x quarter panels to the sportback with a evo x rear bumper would look pretty sick I think.

Car looks great i kinda think the idea is cool too but i would hate to lose functionality. Did you buy the car because it had 4 door? would you leave the seats in and how difficult would getting someone in through the front seats be?

The main reason I bought the car is because I got a great deal on it. I hardly ever have people in the back seats... I'm not sure if I would leave the seats in but it would probably be tricky to get people in through the front. My only real issue is losing access to the cargo area.

Cool I say go for it if its not about functionality and you don't think you will use it down the line, the car already looks good that will add a nice unique touch probably win you a few trophies if you care to compete also.

You could possibly test Or go a non permanent way of going 2door, like wrapping the car in vynl and have them go over rear door section so there is no joins.
