Welded rear doors?

Recently, I have had the idea of welding the rear doors and shaving the rear handles on my RA sportback (yes I know this is the evo forum, but I thought I would get more responses here and this applies to the evo as well.) My goal would be to turn the car into a three-door hatch for show/uniqueness. The end result would be something like the picture below without the tacked-on body stuff. Any ideas on the possible cost and a shop that would do this in the tri-state area? Thanks.

this is one of those things that could look real good..............

...........or really bad.

the thing that would look strange is the doors would look "short" because two door cars normally have larger doors so people can get into the back seats.

the B pillar might need to be moved back or eliminated.

do a bunch of photo-shopping and post up the pics.

could be a cool project.

I don't think this would turn out good, especially on a sportback. The rear would look really long.

I will most likely keep the car for a long time. I thought about the resale value... Maybe it wouldn't be impossible to sell due to the uniqueness of being the only 3 door sportback in the world?

Here is my RA. Would someone be able to photoshop the rear doors welded/molded?

Did a quick shop for ya to give the general idea.

If you just welded the rear doors the rear end does look quite long as shown in the first pic.
The second pic I moved the door b pillar and handle back and removed the smaller window in the rear door. Gives a way better look. I'd say this is achievable but at what cost?

I think it may look weird but a couple of photoshopped pictures would give a better depiction of what it may look like. Right now it sounds like a bad idea but theres allot of things sounds like a bad idea and are much different story once there done.

the second picture looks nice but that would cost you an arm and a leg to make.

People buy the sportback for a reason....the hatch allows for more space and then the rear doors allow access to the space or more passengers. and the resale goodluck with that if you weld the doors you might as well crush it cause nobody will wont a 3 door sportback it would serve no purpose.

I have to laugh at this idea......
