I'm on the fence with the same dilemma... I have a rally red with the big wing and purchased the VIS carbon fiber Do-Luck style trunk and have kept it wingless. Sometimes I like the new look and sometimes I feel like putting the wing on the new trunk. Decisions, decisions, lol.

Your car looks good before and after!

Thanks, I had a hard time making that decision of wing or no wing way before I bought the car. I like both in some cases but I love the look of the X when its wingless especially with wheels and other upgrades. My car is fairly stock right now but each week it seems to look different as I continue to cross more off of my list of parts.

X's are almost non existent in my area and when you see them they are usually stock. I'm not even sure if people know what the car is when I pass them or ride along side them. People always stare at it when I go by. Quite often I pull up next to people and they just stare at the brakes. Anyway, I think I got more looks today with the trunk on then I've had with the high wing. I dunno I think it does take away a little from the what u normally think of when you here evo but I think overall it looks much sleeker. Two way different looks just really a preference. I must say though it feels great to look out the rear window and be able to see whats going on when I change lanes !!!!!!!!

It looked great before, and it looks great now. Like you said, it's just 2 different styles. Personally, I prefer wingless on the street. If you track the car enough to actually use the wing, then by all means, keep it. Wingless looks better on a street car imo.

Wheels + lower and it'll look real mean.

The trademark of the Evo since the first generation has always been it's big spoiler. I respect the decision to go wingless but not my cup of tea. Wingless evo -> hybrid evo -> death of evo. Some traditions aren't worth changing.

Looks nice bro. i prefer to go wingless in the street if i have the budget for a do-luck trunk. Some people told me it is not an evo if there is no wing but to each their own

I got the windows tinted today and people were very confused about it having no wing. The installers were arguing if it was suppose to have a wing and if I had removed it. They were also arguing about whether it was a stock trunk. The more and more I see it the more and more I really like it, once I get some wheels and I lower it, it should turn out to be real nice.

I don't know what it is but I just love the wing. Don't get me wrong it looks very good. I'm just a wing lova. Also that baby is crying for a drop and wheels. Enjoy!!!
