2012 WW with and w/o factory aero

I'm a new owner of a 2012 WW GSR. It has the sight and sound, sunroof and leather, and interior kit and i had the dealer install the aero kit, only thing missing is the nav. I've been around the forums awhile and am coming from a 2011 1M and before that a 2007 WRX. This was an impulse buy and isn't my daily. so some before and after pics with and without the factory aero kit. i got the dealer to throw in the aero kit and i took delivery of the evo last tuesday and the dealer ordered the kit and had it installed friday. the only thing i'm still waiting on is the oem gurney flap for the rear spoiler. the aero kit sides ARE different than the stock 2012 sides. they are bigger, wider and hang a bit lower. the aero kit i had installed consists of the front lip, side air dams, rear corner extensions, rear spoiler gurney extension, and front brake ducts.
w/o aero

w/o aero

and my daily for good measure

the aero kit is the same for all years, the 2012 was referring to the MY of the vehicle

I haggled the price into the purchase price but ended up being 1850 installed. The factory option is only 1500 but if you add it at the dealer you have to purchase the front, sides, rear, gurney flap, and brake ducts separately

The 1m was quicker and I really liked the 6speed. Braking seems comparable. The 1m was tail happy the evo seems to push compared to the 1m. I had issues with the charge pipe blowing off on the BMW. And for an m car it didn't have a true m motor. It's a run of the mill 135/335 motor. Plus I sold it for 5k more than I paid

Yea that is the Aero kit. But not the new 2012 option, "Exterior Kit". The new Exterior kit does not come with side skirts. But if you get it installed from the dealer then they can order the side skirts. Actually you could just order the Aero side skirts of you have the Exterior Package from Mitsu.

i'm not sure that's right, i know of a few 2012 owners that have the factory aero kit and they all have the side air dams. also on mitsu's website if you click the option for exterior package it shows this

Exterior Package
X CLOSE

MSRP: $1,500

Front/Side Air Dams
Rear Corner Extension
Brake Air Guides
Rear Spoiler Extension

Hmm.. I don't know where you see that.. This is copy/pasted straight from Mitsu's website..

http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/evo/12/build.do

"Exterior Package
X CLOSE

Front air dam
Rear corner extension
Brake air guides
Rear spoiler extension"

No side skirts. Either way, I like it much better with the Aero side skirts and was disappointed when they quit offering in the Exterior package..

This is what is listed under the 2008-2011s "Aero package"..

"Aero Kit Package
X CLOSE

Front/Side/Rear Airdams
Brake Air Guides
Rear Spoiler Extension"
