I like the idea but I am curious how well it operates when the heat is blasting the back of that, or when the AC is on. Wouldn't think the AC would affect it much, but the heat I can see being an issue. How does it hold up to the heater blasting on it for extended periods of time?

I am glad I haven't pulled the trigger on boost gauge yet. I love its discreetness.

the ac vent is fully funtional, you can use the factory handle to move the airflow in any direction, the gauge only remove the top 2 fins of the vent.

I have had many requests for Beta testing coupons. Thanks for the interest. Beta testing is officially closed. I look forward to the feedback. Thanks!

Gauges will go on sale in about a week. You can order from www.gtboostgauge.com/shop only limited qtys will be available each week as the build process is not mass manufacturing.

Actually - compared to the normal temperature range of commercial electronics operating specs, the heat coming out of the vent is nothing. Many customers in the Legacy community have been "testing" that for years now.

Currently AFR readout is compatible with LC-1(via analog) and PLX(serial connection) . Expansion to AEM compatibility could be possible in the future.

Considering the majority of Evo X owners use the AEM, that would be a great idea. Is there a difference between the AEM serial feed and the PLX's? I'd be in if you could make it happen!

lossol or ray, have you guys had any problems with using the heater and or the ac... the air hits the chips directly, so I was just curious if it has any problems with it.

I've only had mine for less than a week and honestly haven't even driven the car so I can't answer for sure. But the lossol I know has sold these to the Subaru community for a while and hasn't had any reports of failure due to the hot or cold air.
