I love this option! This will be my next purchase for sure... My only question is will it work for tuning/logging with the COBB AP? And if so how would one go about doing so?

Considering the majority of Evo X owners use the AEM, that would be a great idea. Is there a difference between the AEM serial feed and the PLX's? I'd be in if you could make it happen!
Which AEM model number Are your guys using? I will be expanding VBG1 AFR input capability to be compatible with AEM.

will it work for tuning/logging with the COBB AP?
VBG1 does not use the OBD-II port, so this will not interfere with the COBB AP.

To clarify, VBG1 supports the aem uego gauge part #30-4100 Analog output. The configuration setting for aux input should be set to LC-1 as this gauge has the same lookup table for voltage vs AFR. (the serial connection is not yet supported for AEM)

VBG1 now shipping for the EVOX community, get your VBG1 at www.gtboostgauge.com

Installed mine today. I'm pretty happy with it. I would like to figure out a way to get it more flush with the front face of the vent though. Has anyone tried any modifications of how it sits? Seems too angled back at least from my sitting position.

For the VBG1 to read AFR I would still need the AEM gauge itself since it acts as the controller correct? Or is there a way I can wire it without using the actual gauge?

VBG1 is compatible with the following afr monitoring systems:

 Innovate Motorsports LC-1,
 AEM 30-4100 UEGO
 Zeitronix Zt-2 or Zt-3
 PLX SM-AFR

The PLX, LC-1 and Zeitronix offer stand alone operation. Since the control electronics is built into the UEGO 30-4100 - stand alone operation is not an option.

I hope to upgrade the firmware soon to the VBG1 to allow further compatibility with UEGO gauges and afr monitoring systems.

Currently the AEM 30-4100 UEGO has the same analog output AFR/voltage ratios as the LC-1. That is the reason only this UEGO AFR system is compatible thus far.
