Octane Blue gone for 2013?

According to my general manager Octane Blue is being replaced for 2013 by Cosmic Blue. It's the dark/navy blue color currently avalible on the Outlander and Outlander Sport. I tried to google this and searched for any kind of press information but found nothing.

Has anyone else heard this same thing?

Its popular on the outlander, I think it'll be pretty ugly on the evo or at least make the lines of the car look strange.

I would not be surprised, Mitsubishi has a habit of doing stuff like this. They replaced GG with MGP, Rotor Glow, no Rotor Glow. They have also changed up the spoilers so much I've lost track and couldn't tell you what year/trim level X came with what spoiler (big wing, small wing, lip).

Actually, that's Laguna Blue. Cosmic blue is a really dark blue, almost looks black at night and kind of purple in certain light.

Interesting but I'd take that information with a grain of salt since dealerships don't always have the most reliable information. I remember when I bought my Evo in 2008 the salesman said my Evo was the first model year that it came with AWD. Oh and it had two turbos.

BAhahahahaha

We have sales consultants that get Twin Turbo and Twin Scroll confused all the time. I try to set them straight, but most don't care enough to remember.

Wow. I hope they don't go to that crappy baby blue color in the first picture. It looks really girly.. not that an Evo can't/shouldn't look girly, , but I just think an Evo should look very aggressive.. That light blue would be a mistake.

I heard this too, and saw a post somewhere that showed the order information for 2013 and indeed it showed that octane blue was replaced. Mitsu is so out of touch, it's a miracle their even in business, they should have brought back rotor glow for 2013.
This new color looks similar to the plasma blue pearl that subaru uses. Lots of people like it but I don't know why mitsu is getting rid of popular colors and replacing them with ****ty colors from the normal line.
I wanted to get a brand new 2013 and my two options were GG and OB now both are are gone....so I'll have to either get something else or settle on the new MGP which I'm not too sure of.

I was recently shopping for an Evo. I was told by a couple dealers OB would be gone for 2013 or else I would've waited. The cosmic blue isn't very good looking on an Evo in my opinion.
