I'm searching for pictures of anyone who has color-matched the black plastic pieces in the center of the front of the car. I don't mind the black center, but I like it painted more and it makes for a more naturla progression from the IX to the X.

Here's a pic I found, but it's small. This is what I'm looking for.

 

Interesting, I can't believe I've never thought about that before. It's actually quite subtle.

 

Seems simple enough to do and would look pretty good IMO.

 

I think I saw a much larger photo of it done to a Wicked White Evo X... didn't look very good..

 

99.9% of people I have seen have been trying to or have accomplish exactly the opposite. To not look like the Lancer and more like the Evo

looks pretty good on the red...looks silly on the blue..also seen the white one monkie was talking about and it looks awefull

could always plastidip if there is a color close enough and rub it off if you dont like it

Saw it in person and nope it doesn't look right. Now having it done in dark gray or gun metal might be ok. I recently painted mine gloss black and it looks clean.

 

I like how it looks on the red, but as others said it kind of resembles the base lancer. Then again... a lot of base lancer owners paint their front ends black anyways.

 

Well, all an EVO is is a tarted up lancer...
