My car got hit with a major hail storm. Insurance covered all damages. They said I needed a new hood, roof, and deck lid. Decided to do a full carbon fiber makeover.
Got the Seibon CSL type trunk (beautiful fit and finish), Seibon oem style CF hood (sh!tty fit and finish), and AMS CF roof replacement. I havent seen many cars besides TA track cars with this. The roof was a helluva lot of work for professionals, certainly not a DIY project. It came out really nice though. With all the new body work I decided that there was no way I could roll around on stock wheels anymore and since the wife drives the car regularly I went with Rota Grids so I woudnt be SO mad if she came home with curb rash lol. So, while had no intention of being in a stormtrooper, a so called "act of God" put me in one. Here she is. what do you think?

 

i have a seibon hood also and the clear coat sucks i suggest you take it to a shop and reclear it..or eles it will fade n turn hazy if you park in the sun alot

Looks good! Thinking about doing the same carbon fiber on my OB.

Already have black rims too.

 

I love that its all real CF and not cf wrap or gloss wrap.

 

I had all 3 CF pieces clear coated again at the body shop. Had an Eclipse GSX back in the day and the cf hood oxidized real bad. lesson learned lol

meh, not a real good shot, too much shadow. they are almost perfectly flush with the top of wheel arch. 18 x 9.5 +20 with 265 35 tires and stock suspension

 

u need a shorter antenna for your rc car lol

 

lol I actually took off the short one and added this whip that resulted in dramatically improved reception

But for the life of me I can't get why these cars are compared to Stormtrooper helmets.

They are straight up Cylon Centurions.... See?

 

I definately see your point, no less nerdy though I assume its a color thing. Sooo... maybe the Apex Silver guys should start referring to theirs as Cylon Centurions

 

My mercury gray gave me the idea, that and a battlestar netflix binge has too. I even found someone who makes decals that look like the Centurion helmet for it.

Still I am pondering switching to WW just because these cars lo0k great in white.

 

Did you have any problems with the fitment of any of their products?
