Past weekend (literally the night before my Regional #11) I met with the guy who started a page Houston-Streets. Ever since Houston's big car meet/location got shut down (Planet Zero), Houston's car scene has been all over the place - everybody trying to be the next "big thing", hosting multiple meets on the same day, leaving most of them with weak turn-outs. Alex hoped to help gather the Houston scene again with his webpage.

I got out-voted on the "Ride of the Month", but he wanted to shoot my car anyway since there was trouble coordinating with the winner. Regardless of the contest, he wanted to feature it anyway.

Car sat in rain from that day and was not cleaned/prepped - I still think the shots turned out nice. Alex asked me if I still wanted to do the shoot in the rain, and I literally said "the car is white and it's getting dark, [the pictures] might turn out good anyway"

I never felt like it ever had their **** together honestly - just a bunch of trolling butt buddies in their own social circle, but the houston scene has been a mess without the monthly big PZ meets now I have to pick/choose/ask around with meets are worth going to with my busy work schedule. so many of them turn out awful

im from houston. i have an evo 8.

yeah. no organization. and a bunch of immature a-holes.

 

I dig those fog lights, nice! Coffee and cars is the only meet i find cool enough to go to maybe three times a year. With all these evo's on this forum from Houston, we should make our own meet.

 

Houston's "scene" has been a mess for many years now. PZ was the exception to the rule in the last few years but even that went to hell. Fact is "cool" cars are getting cheaper and usually the highschoolers or frankly the ghetto kids are kinda ruining it for everyone with immaturity, drama, wannabe thugness or whatever that and historically Houston is a fickle *** town. when F&F was out everyone was into cars, then people move on to other things. Driving etc. just isn't the popular thing these days unless you're a true enthusiast and those make their own meets.


Possibly a good idea. Maybe start a thread or something for discussions and organization and then go from there. Also I think I saw you drive by downtown a few weeks. OB Evo with ETS intercooler some sort of black wheels and a nice exhaust right? Car looks sharp sir.
