How does everybody feel about Carbon Fiber?

To be honest this is kind of a random post. I just wanted to get some peoples opinions about CF. Previously I have never really been a big fan of CF, I really think it only looks good on certain colors like WW, or PB. I know that in some cases, it can be beneficial to save weight, but are there any other really big differences?

It looks better on some colors than others, but I think it looks pretty good on all colors when done correctly. Like a CF lip or side skirt extensions. I don't like CF hoods on WW at all.

I have always thought that CF only looked good primarily on either WW or PB, but now that I have an OB, I'm kind of debating if I should go that route. I dunno?

I think it can be over used. But a few pieces tactfully done is nice. The lip is good. Not a fan of unpainted cf hood or trunk. From a distance it just looks like you were in an accident, replaced the parts but couldn't afford to paint them. I think it can be decent if part of the hood is unpainted. I saw one painted car color on both sides, I think following the body lines of the hood, and left black in the middle. I just don't think that body panels that are next to each other should be different colors.

Depends how you do it. Agreed on some colors not working but again that depends how you go about it. AS looks good with CF too.

It's a great accent, but I don't like it EVERYWHERE.
It looks great on some colors and just OK on other colors.
It can be a performance piece, but let's face it, engine/suspension mods are far more performance oriented.

Subtle carbon looks good. Too much is obviously gaudy. Not a fan of carbon hoods either.

Not a fan of carbon. I would prefer it to be painted . Only carbon piece I would not paint and get for the X would be a AMS roof.

If it's used to drop weight I think it's fine even though I would personally paint it. As far as just having carbon parts for the look I'm not a fan.
