Just turned 26 today and after leaving the gym this morning this is what I saw:

I was pissed! I was parked right beside a red pick truck, Dodge Ram 1500 I believe and the F****** A**Hole probably opened his door and slammed in to mine. There's a little red paint chip where mine got hit. This is the first dent I got with this car besides all the rock chips.

So does anyone know if I can fix this like lightly tapping the other side while blowing hot air on the dent? Or do I have to go to a professional?

Sorry!!!

Happy birthday...

I would take that to a professional. They look a little to deep to do it yourself IMHO. And you do not want to make a crappy birthday worse by REALLY messing up the paint. GL

A paintless dent removal place should be able to get that out easily.

Sorry about the birthday gift brother, but this one seems a little too deep to take of yourself. I good body shop should be able to take care of this very easily. I would go the "paint-less dent removal" route first, and if your are not happy, paint the entire piece!

This exactly. Shouldn't be too big of a deal to have fixed, sucks regardless. Happy birthday though

First, take a hair dryer and heat up the spot where it's dinged till its hot to the touch.
Second, take a compressed air can, turn it upside down, and spray the cold compressed gas onto the Ding.
Third, watch the ding pop out.

Something like this:

this urks me when people do **** like this, whether oblivious to it or on purpose, i've had this happen when i was in my car, (not my evo, thank god, but my tahoe) and the girl didnt know i was there, she bumped it once with her door, and then did it again, i wound down my window and was like you wanna stop bumping your damn door into my car, the look on her face was priceless, some people just don't care especially when they think no ones around...

This. There was one time I was chillin in my car (old lancer gts) because I just got off the gym and this lady bump in to my side view mirror and folded it the other way ( mirror not facing the car and I seriously thought it broke. She looked at it like it was not a big deal did not attempt to pit it back the way it was and didn't see me in my car. I opened the window and shout at her as she was getting in her car and it scared her.

Anyway I might try the heat and then compressed air can first to checked if it works...
