wheel color poll
wheel color poll
Ok guys and gals, I have a WW evo and want some Opinions on which color I should go with. I had a 350z in the past with mag blue volks so with this car I bought a similar color, However, Im seriously considering powdercoating them a gold to be a bit different since I believe these will be the first gold 57xtremes. Tell me your guys insight, should I stay with the blue or go for the gold.

Thanks guys for the replys....here in Texas there isn't much colored wheels on evos....mostly black which i think is bit overused. My initial thought was to just clear coat the blue in order pop a bit more...still on the fence about powder coating them gold cause i want an exact gold like RPF1 gold.

I have a white MR and I have to make the same decision about wheel color. It's obviously a personal opinion but for what it's worth my opinion is as follows. Color wheels can seem tacky on a white car so color choice and shade is key. I'm not one for matte color wheels as the white color of the car typically overwhelms anything matte, especially black wheels. Plus all wheels look matte with some brake dust on them
. I think silver and light gunmetal (sometimes a good shade of bronze) look the best on a plain white car. If you add stripes to your car ala 311RS or Porche GT3 RS then you can match the stripe and the wheel color, perhaps even the mirrors. Fiat Abarth can be used as a guide too. Do a little google image search and see what YOU like. Good luck. With wheels though I think it's equally important that they look "aggressive" on the car and it's not just about color. This means that wheel width and wheel gap should be in good harmony.

Hey thanks guys for all the input thus far..I have not decided as of yet. I do agree with the post above about matte wheels. Which is why I'm considering giving the wheels a gloss coat and or going with the gold plus gloss for the contrast. Waiting to install all my suspension before putting the wheels on. I will keep u guys updated. Thanks Keep the opinions coming.
