I admit they are close but put then on the screen together and once you see it, you will know. It's not that the other hoods like Varis, Seibon Test and Service are bad, if you like the design go for it. Believe me, I would have loved to have liked the other ones more. Would have saved me time and in a few cases money. Lol
The main difference between the FQ and the rest really lie in the center scoop area. Like the Varis the scoop isn't as raised. T&S is a little different shape and the lines leading up to it aren't as sharp. I just happen to really like the original scoop shape, height and the sharpness of the lines leading up to it.
Told you the busses don't go where I live. Lol

Well it's not one off a fq400 but I was told it's either made by the original people or it's made with the original mold or however they do it. Basically it is supposed to be legit and not a replica. How can I know that with 100% certainty? I can't, but all I really cared about was it looked exactly like the original and so far I think it does. Once painted and on the car I'll know more.
From my research the real deal is fiberglass as well. But fiberglass is a decent material done right.
It was extremely light. I have never lifted the stock hood other than to open it but to me the FQ hood felt like half the weight. I could be way off but when I went to grab it to see what it weighed I almost threw it off the stand. Lol I was thinking it would be heavier so I went at it like it was heavy. I wish I had a scale. I'm thinking about getting a cheap scale to weigh the splitter I'm making. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow and drop it off at the body shop so they can weigh it.
Or maybe the weight is out there on the Internet someplace.
I'm actually glad it isn't carbon. It's already expensive enough and I don't into the body panels that don't match look so it would have been painted either way.
