Dad here of Evo&Son. Car got tapped in a parking lot and we decided to take shot at an aftermarket front bumper. We both love rhe fq400 look but at over 2 grand its cost prohibitive. We pocked this up on eBay for 500 bucks. The bumper required more than just some trimming! So a body shop was necessary.

We are pretty happy with the results. Currently its all grey but the plan is to follow the fq paint scheme..

I've never been a fan of that bumper for some reason. But that's me. Anyway... I'd replace that silver mesh with black. Silver makes it look cheap IMO.

 

i agree, if you changed the silver mesh it will make it look better

Yeah agreed. It's gotta be the silver mesh or something...

 

For me it's the weird fog light mounts and the vents on the side, it reminds me too much of the body kit's people put on hondas. If the car had the entire kit to match, it might work. But you also need to black out that mesh, it will help greatly.

 

it doesn't look terrible but it is off a little. I think that part that's off to me is the lip portion. I'm used to seeing the lip in carbon fiber. Maybe if you put back the emblem it will look better, then painting all the mesh black.

The plan is to paint the mesh black as well. I only have so much time during the weekend to work on the car and I need to have it ready for work by Monday

I'll take a look at putting the emblem back on

 

Nose chop would make it look better. I would just see if cut out that piece where the emblem goes..

And paint all the grille pieces black. That silver looks HORRIBLE
