255/40/r18 STOCK SUSPENSION

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here, got my evo about a month ago and need new tires, last owner beat the hell out of the stock ones. I don't plan to lower the car, so with that being said has anyone had issues with this tire size or recommendations? Thanks. Also looking for new wheels as well, again thanks.

I had tires in this size on my EvoX with GTWorx springs (about 1" lower), it rubbed a little on the front inner fender at full lock, but only on the passenger side. that size is a little bigger diameter than stock so thats what was causing the rub. I know you're asking about stock suspension, but given where it was rubbing, ride height doesn't make much of a difference.

Thanks for the input man! I'll keep that in mind, mind me asking what wheels you had with the tires? Or know what size wheels/offset would fit with them? again thanks brotha.

Cool so I shouldn't have an issue keeping the stock wheels on there then?
(I have a final edition so I'm pretty sure they're the GSR wheels.) 18x8.5

It was only a very small rub, and the fact that it was only on one side suggests that it's within margin of tolerances. It's possible that it won't rub on your car...

Was it rubbing on metal or Liner/plastic?

You should be perfectly fine with that size. Coincidentally, I am one of the managers for a wheel/tire company here in San Diego lol.
