Will 265/35/R18 fit stock MR BBS nicely ?

Hi guys,

Will a 265/35/R18 tire fit stock MR BBS rims ?

I know it sounds silly of course it'll fit but :

1) i'm afraid it'll not look nice cos the rims might not be wide enough, so it'll look like the tires wrapping around the rims.

2) will it rub ? my suspension is still stock & plan of lowering my ride

thx in advance for the suggestions, advise, comments & answers . . .

To your answer HELLL NOO!!!!

First of all, a BBS MR wheel is a 17" wheel. NOT a 18" so that is just wayyy off the chart already. And if you're gonna ask, can a 265 tire(s) fit on the BBS MR wheel.....again, NOOOOO!!!! MAX is 255/17, don't even know about that! :X But i am sure you can max it out to there.

And anything over 265, you'll need some fender work unless you want to ride like a 4x4!!!

Wrong! The Evo X MR comes with 18" BBS wheels.

The biggest i would mount are 255's on a 8.5" wide wheel.

yep stock is 245/40/R18 on the MR BBS Rims ... if it was 17" the rim would not fit at all cos of the bigger calipers upfront.

thx for the advise ak47po .. i tried asking the tire shop, the only size they have for the tire i wanted is 265's arghhhh !!! maybe a good excuse to get new wider rims eh ....

still, will it rub if i put on 265's on the BBS rims ?

You can put them on, and they will fit (not rub) but it will look like a truck.

They'll actually fit on the 8.5" wheel. Depending on the tire it can look terrible or ok.

if you want pictures, search on my posts. I posted some pictures from a BMW forum of 265's on 8.5" wheels. It was in this forum, and I think in the RS-2 thread about the sale from tirerack.

I have 265s on an 8.5 inch rim and it looks good, but the sidewall rolled too much on the track with that combo.

Not trying to steal the thread BUT
Would 255/45/17 fit on a evo ix bbs wheel? or do you think it would need to be a 40 size?
OR would it not fit at all lol

Any opinions would be helpful.

Take it to the 8/9 forum. This is the X and no 17" wheel fits the X.
