I was told that the D2 and Ksport are manufactured by the same company and sold under seperate names.

Could very well be the same... Really cheap stuff $500-700 for a set for these things. Might as well be giving them away in Cracker Jack boxes.

I know BC Racing (Bor Chuan) and Megan Racing are both made by BC Racing. After having both - not too fond of them either. I've writen reviews of both but they simply can not compare to coilovers such as Ohlins, KWv3s etc.

Obloviously they cant compare to them considering the coilovers you compared them to cost nearly triple... For the money, I would say BC's fit the bill

You get what you pay for. "Bang for the buck" is true but be prepared to pay later in the form of replacement shocks or bounce around like the car's on pogo sticks.
