spacers for wheels?

I already have these wheels sitting around and I really like them but I was told the offset is too high(+45) and the rim width is 8". Could I use a spacer to get by with it? Or would this be unsafe? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure how 8in wide rims will fit. I personally wouldn't go more narrow than stock. I have 9.5in rims, with a 45 offset. In order to clear the front caliber, I had to use 25mm spacers. I'd recommend you have everything measured to see exactly what you will need and if it will fit.

Dude, nice find. I just pm'd him. I am curious what his offset is. but besides that it seems like he has some crucial information for me. Thanks again.

please post what you find out. I have had some people say to never use spacers on performance cars but then again they may not know what they are talking about.

I have some 18x8.5 wheels on my X with a 35 offset and .25" spacers. There is plenty of clearance from the spokes of the wheel. It would probably cut it a tad close being your offset is a +45 an an 8" wide wheel but I would get the spacers give it a try and see what you are working with.

ps: There are plenty of people on this site that run spacers on there Evos.. It isnt something you want to do if you are tracking your car every week at the auto cross track.. but for daily driving it will be fine.

I have a brand new set of spacers for sale, they're 25mm and from ROBISPEC. They are cnc'd aluminum.
