z1 star spec
well the stock size is 245/40/18.
To stay with the same diameter, with a wider tire, you really should go to 275/35/18. They look really nice, but I honestly think that they are too wide for an 8.5" wheel (the stock wheel width).
I'd avoid BF Goodrich anything for performance, but I'm biased

I have the z1 stars and I really like them for the price. I wouldn't say they are loud because with the exhaust intake and all it isn't so bad.
As for performance i like them better in stock size than I did my azenis 255/40/17's...
I also feel these tires are going to last longer than my azenis's and I'm making more power now..
Tires are going to last as long as you want them too. You drive like me expect 15K....
if I wanted a longer lasting tire I would of went with a regular ole "car" tire.
If you want performance you are goign to pay.
I think for the price/performance the z1's are up there with all other performance tires....

I have to disagree with whoever said that Kumho tires suck, I have had nothing but great things to say about them. My car was in the 500 whp and I drove the **** out of it through turns and I never could complain!
Are there better tires out there, yes but I think for the money this tire is as great and it does wear much better than most. I don't think I lost much with these but I also had a sick suspension setup to though.

There are plenty of tires that provide more grip than you'll ever need on the street, with a lot higher treadwear rating. Even if you do the occasional track day, there's some 220 tw rated tires that provide enough grip. If you're threatening the local lap record, then you might need to suck it up and get the super-stick-o tires, but if you're not (99.9% of us), you can get the best of both worlds.
