Hi currently I have a set of Works XT7 18X9.5 +20. I'm wondering what size of tires you guys recommend without rubbing? Taking in consideration that the car will be drop on Work springs with .9 drop. Thanks in advance guys!!

You might want to also compare the tire diameter as well as other specs for the specific brand you are buying. Here are the 3 least expensive options up on Tirerack.com:
Kumho Ecsta MX
Tire................. Weight ... Rim Width Range ...... Meas Rim Width .... Sect Width .... Diameter
245/40ZR18 ...... 25 ........... 8.0-9.5 .......................... 8.5 .................... 9.9 ............. 25.8
265/35ZR18 ...... 23 .......... 9.0-10.5 ......................... 9.5 ................... 10.8 ............ 25.4
275/35ZR18 ...... 27 .......... 9.0-11.0.......................... 9.5 ................... 11.1 ............ 25.7
Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec:
Tire................. Weight ... Rim Width Range ...... Meas Rim Width .... Sect Width .... Diameter
245/40ZR18 ...... 27 ............ 8.0-9.5 .......................... 8.5 .................... 9.8 ............. 25.7
265/35ZR18 ...... 28 ........... 9.0-10.5 ......................... 9.5 ................... 10.7 ............ 25.3
275/35ZR18 ...... 32 ........... 9.0-11.0.......................... 9.5 ................... 11.0 ............ 25.6
Kumho Ecsta XS
Tire................. Weight ... Rim Width Range ...... Meas Rim Width .... Sect Width .... Diameter
245/40ZR18 ...... 26 ............ 8.0-9.5 .......................... 8.5 .................... 9.7 ............. 25.7
265/35ZR18 ...... 27 ........... 9.0-10.5 ......................... 9.5 ................... 10.7 ............ 25.3
275/35ZR18 ...... 28 ........... 9.0-11.0.......................... 9.5 ................... 10.9 ............ 25.6
For me I want to avoid making the revs any higher than they already are on the highway, plus I don't want to make it even harder to get through the traps below the rev limiter in the quarter mile either.

Thanks a lot, so what size do you recommend to avoid this?

275/35ZR18 is what I would go with assuming the wheels have proper offset to not be too far in or out of the wheel well. I was trying to find the rolling diameter of the stock tires published somewhere but couldn't find them.

Wow.. those Kumho 265's are a lot lighter. 4 pounds a corner...? You could notice that.

so what are better for city and highway the kumho mx or the dunlop z1, and are they both better in grip then the stock??

You'd likely notice how floppy they are in corners too if you pushed them hard ;-)Originally Posted by fastkevin

The D1's are the bees knees if you are an autocrosser.

Have you actually tried out the newer XS series or is this just based on the MX?
