noob question on tires and alignment

Lowered my car with eibach springs and got wheel alignment from people who didn't know what they were doing. Car drives straight, but it ate the sh*t out of the outer parts of my rear tire (completely bald now). The guy told me it would still eat my tire but I did not expect it to be gone in 3k miles. My front tires are perfectly fine so now I have to buy new rear ones and get an alignment again, but the stock tires are expensive. I believe I can get cheaper ones that are just as good as the stock ones. Would it matter if I got different tires for the rear? or should I just get the stock ones again? I'm planning to goto firestone for the realignment.. I have to tell them the specs since I put on lowering springs right? Don't know much about this stuff, any advice appreciated

1. You really should get 4 tires at a time on an AWD car. Stinks, but that's what you have to do.
2. Alignment specs: -1-2* camber and 0* toe front and rear (maybe -.04 toe in the rear).

You can get some cheaper tires and get as good/better performance. Dunlop Star Specs are $185 or so on TireRack in the stock size (245/40/18) and Discount Tire will typically match this.

You can get cheaper tires (Falken 912s for $107, Falken 452s for $137, Falken 615's for $141 from EdgeRacing.com). They might not give you as much performance, but you will get more tire life out of them (except the 615s). It's a trade off.
