Throwing off the AYC is it true?

I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys as to the theory thats been going around on lowering the X. Some seem to think that if you lower the car different heights (front and back) that it will in turn throw off the AYC and the car will not handle as well as it did from the factory is this true or is this a myth. I'd definately like to hear your inputs.

I lowered the front more than the back (for looks, not performance reasons) and so far (around 4k miles) haven't seen any issues with the ayc.

I believe that was an early speculation. I haven't seen any threads regarding such issue though...
