Camber bolts??

My car is currently at the shop getting an alignment after being lowered by Eibachs. The mechanic is telling me that the front/left wheel camber is at -2.5 and I will need new bolts ($35 for the bolt + $78 in labor) to get it to -1.5. He said the other wheels are fine. Are they trying to rip me off or are they doing something wrong?

::cough:: bull**** ::cough::

On the top strut mount bolt, there is a white dot of paint. You put it toward the strut for the stock -1 and away from the strut to get -2.

I think you should leave the camber at 2.5. Car handles a lot better with it! Leave the toe at 0 and you'll see minimal tire wear.

Anybody know of a company that makes or plans to make front camber plates that fit the stock strut assembly?

Vorshlag is working on two styles. A 60mm coilover design and a stock spring fitment. Contact them or maybe they can post here about them if they see this thread. Good stuff.

The stock strut bolt will give you the designated camber at a stock ride height. You maynot be able to get the camber you want with the stock bolts on a lowered car. You get more camber when you lower a vehical. Camber bolts are 19.99 a set and shouldn't cost more then a basic alignment to set them up--nothing additional.

Got mine done at Cobb in Plano and they put -2.5 on all 4 corners, luv it!
They have an excellent alignment system.
